Esther Schlorholtz is Director of Community Investment and Senior Vice President of Boston Private Bank & Trust Company, a full service commercial bank headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts, with assets of $3.5 billion.  Ms. Schlorholtz is responsible for managing the Bank’s Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) programs, designing residential, small business and commercial community development products and services, originating affordable housing and community development loans, and managing CRA investment and charitable donations programs. The Bank is rated "Outstanding" for its CRA regulatory performance. 

Ms. Schlorholtz serves on the Board of Directors of the Massachusetts Community & Banking Council (MCBC), Metropolitan Boston Housing Partnership (MBHP), Citizens Housing and Planning Association (CHAPA), and the Massachusetts Growth Capital Corporation (MGCC).  She has chaired the MCBC board, and co-chairs the MCBC Economic Development Committee which oversees the annual analysis of small business lending in Greater Boston.  She serves on the Executive, Fundraising and Program committees of MBHP.  She serves on multiple affordable housing committees of CHAPA.  She chairs the Credit Committee of MGCC.  She is a member of the Massachusetts Housing Investment Corporation’s Loan, New Markets Tax Credit, and Neighborhood Stabilization Loan committees.  She served on the Investment Committee for small business and affordable housing of the Property and Casualty Initiative.  She is co-chair of Uniting Citizens for Housing Affordability in Newton (U-CHAN), and was appointed by Mayor Setti Warren to the Newton Fair Housing Committee.  Appointed by Governor Patrick, she serves on the Massachusetts Small Business Assistance Advisory Council and served on the Asset Development Commission seeking to find ways to build wealth in low-income communities.  She served as a member of Boston Mayor Thomas Menino’s Leading the Way II and III committees recommending on affordable housing strategies, the Blue Ribbon Housing Finance Panel, the Boston Homelessness Prevention Clearinghouse Steering Committee and the Boston Mortgage Foreclosure Prevention Task Force.  She served on the Massachusetts Department of Housing & Community Development’s Individual Development Account (IDA) advisory committee. She serves on the Massachusetts Bar Association’s Joint Foreclosure Task Force.  She is involved in numerous community investment activities in the Greater Boston area.

Ms. Schlorholtz is a graduate of Tufts University, where she received a Master of Arts in Urban and Environmental Policy, and of Harvard University, where she received a B.A.
