Mr. Pepicelli began his career as an Organizer for the international Ladies’ Garment Workers’ Union in the Boston area in 1980, and was appointed Business Agent and later elected Manager of the Boston Joint Board. After the merger between the ILGWU and the Amalgamated Clothing and Textile Workers’ Union, forming UNITE, Mr. Pepicelli was elected as an International Vice President. In this capacity, he helped to merge two other UNITE affiliates into the New England Joint Board, and was elected Manager of that organization.
Warren Pepicelli is Manager of the New England Joint Board, and an International Vice President of UNITE HERE. The New England Joint Board represents 11,000 members in the six New England States. These include several thousand warehouse and distribution center workers for T.J. Maxx, Marshalls and various other stores owned by the TJX Corporation. Other members are employed by Malden Mills Corp., maker of Polartec fleece, Joseph Abboud manufacturing company, maker of high-end men’s tailored clothing, and a variety of manufacturing, industrial laundry and service employers.
Mr. Pepicelli lives in Marshfield, Massachusetts with his wife Dania and son Alex. He is a former hockey player and now the coach of a Little League baseball team in Marshfield. He is willing to coach anyone who will listen on the proper technique for hitting a baseball.
